Once a year, the home sits down and writes. Not a brochure - a letter. About the girls who arrived this year, the ones who graduated, and the ones who came back to work here. The 2025 letter is now out, and a printed copy will reach every monthly donor next month.
It is the year as the staff lived it - program by program, Bayit Lepleitot, Nivcheret, Bishvilech, Beyachad - and the part we make ourselves write every year: what we did not get right.
This year, what we did not get right: Bishvilech's waitlist grew from 80 to 140 girls. We added a third location in January, but we are still not catching up. Two girls in the Nivcheret summer cohort left after the first month - both have since returned, but the exit interviews told us something we needed to hear about the intake week. We have changed how intake week works for next summer.
