The home's annual Purim seuda - held at the flagship campus dining hall in Jerusalem - drew three hundred and twenty current residents, staff, alumni, and visiting family members across four hours of food, costumes, and an unscripted dvar Torah from Rabbi Chaim Elazar that the older girls have been quoting since. The kitchen produced 1,400 mishloach manos that week, of which six hundred went to former graduates of the home now living in their own homes.
The seudah is a closed event - for residents, staff, and immediate family of the home. We mention it here because so many of our supporters write to ask what the holiday looks like inside the building. The answer this year, in the words of one nine-year-old: "I had three Queen Esthers at my table and one girl dressed as Miryam the cook." Photos from the day are in the photos page. Video coverage is included in the year-end annual report.
