Finally, the day arrives for each one of our girls. She is ready to leave the nest to create her own. Her “father and mother,” Bayit Lepleitot, sit with her to discuss her aspirations and dreams. They investigate, research, and help her find the right partner for life. They celebrate her engagement with her and lead her through the wedding preparations. They lovingly purchase her trousseau and pay for all expenses….and they are there to hold her hand as she takes off to her new future.
Even then, they remain behind her, a steady assurance of care and love. After birth and whenever else necessary, Bayit Lepleitot is there to assist, smooth out the bumps and ensure that “their” child transitions healthfully into her new, happy life.
